Dear Colleagues and Friends,

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is my great pleasure to invite you to the 31st Conference of the Asian Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver (APASL 2022), which is scheduled to be held from March 30 (Wed) to April 3 (Sun), 2022 in Seoul, Korea.

The theme of APASL 2022 is “LEAP Together to the Future of Hepatology.” The Organizing Committee of APASL 2022 is preparing this conference as the COVID-19 pandemic continues its surge around the world. During this unprecedented environment, we pursuit to present an occasion to meet and ensure that we would “Leap” from this crisis together. Now is the moment when the capacities of the world’s medical development and international cooperation are required more than ever before. As the theme of APASL 2022 contains our aspiration, we strive hard to overcome COVID-19 and finally meet you in person in Seoul.

In this regard, we are developing a comprehensive and exciting scientific program that reflects the current state-of-the-art techniques and the most controversial issues. A large number of world-renowned speakers and delegates will share their expertise, remarkable achievements and innovative ideas through active intellectual collaboration. I believe that this annual meeting will play an important role in promoting future international and inter-organizational co-operation and thus contribute to improving patient care and research in the field of hepatology. Moreover, various types of awards and grants will be prepared to enable active participation.

In addition to the rich scientific program, the host city of Seoul offers a chance to all its visitors to experience a mix of ancient Asian culture and world-class city life.

The Organizing Committee is confident that APASL 2022 will bring innovation and further advancement in both basic and clinical aspects of liver research.
