2022年第18届ISDE世界食管疾病大会将于2022年9月26日至28日在日本东京举行。

国际食管疾病学会(ISDE)成立于1979年，是全球首屈一指的致力于食道健康与疾病研究的国际性多学科组织。ISDE旨在促进该领域专家间科学与医学知识的交流，并鼓励与食管相关领域World Congress的基础和临床研究。ISDE秘书处于1979年至2004年设于日本东京，后于2004年至2010年设于加利福尼亚州洛杉矶，2010年以来，秘书处设于加拿大不列颠哥伦比亚省温哥华。ISDE每两年举办一次国际食管疾病大会（ISDE世界大会），旨在汇集多个专业、参与食管疾病患者临床管理和研究的所有专业人员，为与会者交流最新发展的临床和科学知识提供了一个最佳的平台。

ISDE 2022 Virtual World Congress Abstract Submission Guidelines

General

Abstracts will be accepted in English only
An international panel of reviewers will review all abstracts anonymously
There is no fee for submitting an abstract
There is no limit to the number of abstracts you may submit (however an individual may not be offered more than 2 oral presentations)
All abstracts accepted by the Scientific Program Committee will be published in Diseases of the Esophagus (DOTE) Journal and on the congress website prior to the meeting. It is mandatory to agree to this at the time of submission
ISDE 2022 Congress also accepts short videos (maximum 3 minutes) to be reviewed for a video presentation at the congress. Please see below for video submission guidelines
Start your abstract submission by creating an account for the ISDE 2022 abstract submission system. If you submitted an abstract to last year’s ISDE Congress, please use the same login details.

Please note that the abstract submission system account is different from your ISDE membership account.

All correspondence will be sent to the abstract submitter.
IMPORTANT: Author and/or institution information must NOT appear in the title, background, methods, results or conclusion sections of your submission. If author and/or institution names appear the abstract will be disqualified. Please email [email protected] if you have any questions.

Step 1. Title & Topic

The abstract title must not exceed 20 words in length.
Please indicate your preferred presentation type. If you would not be comfortable giving an oral presentation, please select Poster Only. NOTE: Selecting oral format does not guarantee you will be assigned an oral abstract presentation upon acceptance; the final presentation type is determined by the International Scientific Abstract Review Committee.

Step 2. Authors

The presenting author of an accepted abstract must be registered for the ISDE 2022 Congress by June 30, 2022
There is no limit to the number of co-authors per abstract.
Financial disclosure information for the presenting author must be submitted.

Step 3. Disclosure

Presenting authors are expected to disclose to the program audience any/all relevant financial relationships related to the content of their presentation. Kindly note that the disclosure can be submitted by the submitter on behalf of the presenting author.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Per CME guidelines, industry employees cannot present an abstract if the content of the abstract relates to business lines or products of their employer.

Step 4. Abstract Text

Do not include title or author data in the body of your abstract as there are specific places for title and author (steps 1 & 2)
Author and/or institution name must NOT be included in the body of the abstract. If the author and/or institution name appear in the body of the abstract it will be disqualified.
Abstracts may be entered directly into the site or copied and pasted
Research work should be original and innovative. Work can be presented prior to ISDE 2022, but MUST include new information/data
Abstract submissions must be structured with the following:
- Background (maximum 75 words)
- Methods (maximum 100 words)
- Results (maximum 100 words)
- Conclusion (maximum 75 words)
A maximum of 1 table or 1 image may be included
Tables (maximum 5 columns and 7 rows), images (5×7 inches) or graphs must be uploaded in JPG or TIFF format at 300 dpi

Video Submission

Video submissions must be structured with the following:
- Description – what is in the video; why this video is unique or important for the congress
- Link to uploaded file (avi, mpg, mpeg, mov, wmv – max. 250 MB) via Dropbox or another file sharing website

Please indicate your presentation preference of either virtual or in person.

Dear Colleagues,

Despite the hurdles that ISDE needed to overcome for the ISDE 2020 meeting due to COVID-19, the ISDE full virtual Congress in 2021 was a great success! Over 550 participants and speakers representing 50+ countries, attended and contributed to this meeting. The Congress covered wide-ranging subjects, from discussions about surgical cases to the elucidation of fundamental molecular mechanisms for developing novel therapies, to name just a few.

It is the ambition of the ISDE to maintain and even further increase diversity within the Society in the broadest sense of the word. For the upcoming Congress, ISDE aims to attract stakeholders from all disciplines, who can contribute to better understanding, resolving, and sharing of the knowledge of the diseases of the esophagus. It is therefore a great honor to invite gastroenterologists, surgeons, oncologists, pathologists, biologists, nurses, patient representatives, and industries to this 18th ISDE Congress.

It is a pleasure to announce one of my favorite cities, Tokyo, Japan, as our host city for the 2022 annual meeting. Tokyo is regarded as the economic center of the Asia Pacific region, with the highest standards in terms of culture, food, infrastructure, and facilities. All ingredients are required to make this gathering a great success.

Although ISDE recognizes the great advantages of virtual meetings, we are very aware of the important benefits of in-person congresses. Synergy, which is the basis for innovations, is more likely to occur and develop through person-to-person encounters. Nevertheless, ISDE acknowledges the uncertainties surrounding the pandemic of COVID-19. We will take all necessary measures to conduct a healthy meeting. In addition, Congress will have a hybrid character in order to connect all participants and presenters, regardless of their circumstances.
