On behalf of the Taiwan Oncology Nursing Society (TONS), I am honored to welcome you all to the 2021 Asian On cology Nursing Society Conference (AONS 2021) held in Taiwan. During this 3-day conference, prominent nursing experts, scholars and leaders of oncology nursing will share insights and perspectives on patient care experience as well as innovative research from their respective countries, with the ultimate goal of mutual learning and growth to improve the quality of care for cancer patients.

During this period of COVID-19, medical staff all over the world devote themselves to patient care with professionalism and dedication; however, due to the high uncertainty of epidemic relief, fear of cluster infection and rigid international travel restrictions, AONS 2021 will be held as a virtual conference. Although COVID-19 does not extinguish the professional devotion and enthusiasm of cancer care staff, I believe that the 9 member countries of AONS, including Taiwan, will enthusiastically share their valuable and high-quality oncology care knowledge and experience during this conference.

I would like to thank AONS for choosing the Taiwan Oncology Nursing Society as the responsible host of this 5th International Conference in Taiwan. TONS will strive to enhance the experience of all conference guests, despite this difficult period of COVID-19, so that all attendees achieve their learning objectives and have the opportunity to connect with international researchers and caregivers in the field of oncology.

On behalf of TONS, I welcome you to take advantage of this great opportunity to submit your abstract and share your research findings and nursing experience at this international cancer care conference; your attendance is greatly anticipated and your support is important to making the conference a great success.
