2021年第31届国际输血协会(ISBT)区域大会将于2021年6月2日至8日举行。

国际输血协会(ISBT)成立于1935年，是由来自全球100多个国家的从事输血医学的专业人士组成的国际性科学组织。ISBT的主要活动组织召开年会、研讨会和出版刊物等，促进与血液、细胞和移植相关的科学和教育。ISBT的目标是促进和保持高水平的输血医学伦理、医学和科学标准，促进输血医学专业人士间的交流联系；分享知识；提高全球输血的安全性。ISBT的主要活动之一是组织区域和国际大会，国际会议于偶数年举办，两个区域大会(其中一个在欧洲举行)在奇数年举行。

The 31st regional congress of the ISBT
June 2-8, 2021

Dear friends and colleagues,

Welcome to “ISBT In Focus”! Following on from the success of the “ISBT 2020” virtual congress, and in the context of the ongoing pandemic, we have transformed our planned regional congress in Milan to a new type of online event. I thank SIMTI and the local and scientific organising committees for their hard work and enthusiasm, and we will defer our visit to Milan until it is safe to do so. 

Therefore, I invite you to participate in “ISBT In Focus”. The ISBT General Assembly will be held on 2 June, along with other highlights of the opening day. Over the subsequent themed days, we will explore a range of interesting topics, using state-of-the-art lectures and interactive sessions, short presentations and e-posters. Our corporate partners and meeting sponsors will also contribute content relevant to the theme of the day. 

Based on your feedback from the previous virtual congress, and to maximise opportunities for participation around the world, we will offer the themed sessions in two time-zones. Our Scientific Secretary and our two Vice-Presidents have been working with our Executive Director and the teams at ISBT Central Office and MCI to develop the program and provide flexible registration options.  

I look forward to hearing your feedback on our ongoing efforts to continue to share knowledge around the world. Please do get involved, and encourage your colleagues and students to join in too. See you there!
